POLITICO is looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join its dynamic Finance team. The position is a full-time job based at the POLITICO Europe HQ in Brussels. POLITICO is a pioneering and growing media company that covers the politics, policy and personalities of Europe.
What You’ll Do:
In this role, you’ll be utilizing your technical accounting expertise to provide the following tasks:
- You are responsible for the entire sales invoice process
- You check invoices for additional or missing data
- Answering any billing questions that clients might have
- Handling any special billing situations
- Auditing ledgers periodically to ensure that the invoice numbers and billing addresses are accurate
- Performing general bookkeeping duties, like the booking of expense notes, recording cash receipts, making deposits at the bank, and reconciling accounts
- Generating financial reports and statements that detail the status of accounts receivable
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- To be highly computer literate (MS office)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work professionally in French, English and German
- Pro-active, organized, dynamic and accurate.
- Team player and ability to work independently
