POLITICO is looking for a Communications Intern to join the Marketing & Communications Brussels-based team starting in February-March 2023 for a period of 4 months.
You will gain first-hand experience in communications tactics to drive brand awareness. You will interact with colleagues from various departments across POLITICO, including Editorial Events and Sales.
What You’ll Do
- Daily reporting on who is talking about POLITICO and where our journalist’s stories are being picked up;
- Supporting our Communications team with brand events marketing;
- Continuous improvement of our VIP lists, to ensure we’re engaging meaningfully with our most loyal readers;
- Supporting our communications team with pitching stories to other news companies, tv and radio;
- Support our team with the execution of media partnerships;
- General support for our communications and marketing team.
What You’ll Need
- A keen interest in communications as well as in politics and news;
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills;
- Creativity, adaptability, and ability to work collaboratively with a team;
- Fluent command of English, written and spoken. Knowledge of other languages, such as French, German, Spanish and/or Italian is a plus.
Important Internship Details
Internships generally last three to four months. This position is only available for student training as part of university or graduate coursework. Please note that as per Belgian regulations, internships that are part of university or graduate coursework cannot be paid, however, compensation toward lunch and transport to the office is provided.
